Brazil’s energy ministry has played down any expectations of the rapid development of the country’s unconventional industry, telling Interfax Natural Gas Daily pilot projects planned for this year are intended to be learning exercises. 

Brasilia is also looking to the United States and Argentina for examples of best practice related to unconventional exploration and production, an energy ministry spokesman told Interfax Natural Gas Daily on Monday.
