The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission will allow Chevron, Shell, Woodside Petroleum and Inpex to schedule maintenance together for their LNG export facilities in Western Australia (WA) and the Northern Territory (NT) for five years.

The four LNG producers currently compete for a limited pool of skilled contractors and specialised equipment to perform scheduled maintenance. The agreement applies to the Gorgon, Wheatstone, North West Shelf, Pluto and Prelude projects in WA, and the Ichthys project in NT.
