FERC asks AGDC to reconsider sites for Alaska LNG

Alaska Gasline Development Corp. (AGDC) has been asked by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) to reconsider Port Mackenzie and Valdez as potential sites for the Alaska LNG project, the Mat-Su Valley Frontiersman reported on Sunday.

Port Mackenzie is owned by the Matanuska-Susitna Borough, which filed an argument with FERC last month that project planners did not adequately consider the port when they selected Nikiski, on the Kenai Peninsula, as their preferred alternative.
