The United States managed a huge jump in LNG exports to China last year. Amos Hochstein, senior vice president of marketing at Houston-based prospective exporter Tellurian, spoke to Interfax Natural Gas Daily about the Chinese market and meeting the shifting needs of buyers.

Interfax Natural Gas Daily: Until recently, US LNG exporters had struggled to sign up Chinese offtakers. What has caused the hold-up?

Amos Hochstein: We saw what a good visit US President [Donald Trump] had in China [in...
