Pakistan increased its LNG imports by 124% year on year in January, having received nine cargoes over the course of the month with a combined weight of more than 576,000 tons. This is the highest number of cargoes the country has received in a single month since it started importing LNG in 2015. Pakistan received just four LNG cargoes in January 2017, with a combined weight of just over 257,000 tons.
