Gas supply shortage hits Chinese city of Taizhou

The city of Taizhou in China’s Zhejiang province is facing tight gas supplies as a result of strong demand.

The city of Taizhou in China’s Zhejiang province is facing tight gas supplies as a result of strong demand, local broadcaster Taizhou TV reported on Wednesday.

Taizhou’s gas supply arrives as LNG trucked from China National Offshore Oil Corp.’s Ningbo and Putian terminals. The city’s gas use is averaging 200 thousand cubic metres (Mcm) per day and has peaked at 250 Mcm/d.
