Sabine Pass ordered to repair LNG storage tanks after leaks

Cheniere has been ordered to repair two of the five LNG storage tanks at the Sabine Pass plant after workers discovered leaks.

Cheniere has been ordered to empty and repair two of the five LNG storage tanks at the Sabine Pass plant after workers discovered one of the tanks was leaking on 22 January, the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) said last week.

LNG had seeped between the inner and outer walls of Tank S-103, cracking the outer wall in four places.
