Tangshan terminal receives record high supplies in December-January

PetroChina’s Tangshan LNG terminal in Hebei province received 20 cargoes between December and January, marking a record high in throughput.

The terminal is operated by Kunlun Energy and ran at capacity last month, when a new cold spell reached northern China. Tangshan received cargoes from six countries amounting to a combined total of 855,000 tons of LNG.

The terminal received seven 270 thousand cubic metre (Mcm) carriers, five 210 Mcm carriers and eight 150 Mcm carriers in December and January. From 25 January, daily gas...
