Phoenix Petroleum to work with CNOOC on Philippine LNG project

Phoenix Petroleum Philippines plans to work with CNOOC on a proposed $2 billion LNG import project.

Phoenix Petroleum Philippines plans to work with China National Offshore Oil Corp. (CNOOC) on a proposed $2 billion LNG import project in the Philippines, the Manila Standard reported on Sunday.

Phoenix was authorised to sign a confidentiality agreement with CNOOC, one of the companies that submitted an unsolicited expression of interest to develop the project with state-owned Philippine National Oil Co.

Tokyo Gas also tendered a bid, a company executive told Interfax Natural Gas Daily last week. Other interested companies included Korea Electric Power, Lloyds Energy...
