
There were only 55 words about energy in Donald Trump’s first State of the Union address on Tuesday, but the US President’s three major claims seem to have spawned 55 million words of punditry.
Trump, who was uncharacteristically restrained during the speech, said his administration had cut record amounts of red tape and ended the wars on energy and coal, and that the US was “now, very proudly, an exporter of energy to the world”.
