BHP Billiton will not go ahead with a second phase of exploration at two of its deepwater blocks off Trinidad and Tobago, Platts has reported.
The blocks are the Deep Atlantic Area 7 and 23(b) concessions.
“BHP and its co-venturers had completed all of the minimum exploration work obligations for these two [production-sharing contracts] and elected not to enter into the second phase of the exploration periods,” the company said in a statement.
