Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has asked his government to ensure that houses built under the ‘Housing For All’ scheme in rural areas are supplied with gas, electricity and drinking water, according to The Times of India.

The government has set a target to build 30 million houses for the poor in rural areas by 2022. Supplying these houses with gas will help expand demand for the fuel and reduce the use of LPG for cooking.
