Distortions in Peruvian gas prices have forced Norway-based Statkraft to re-evaluate the time it will take to make a return on investments such as the Cheves hydroelectric plant, Esmerk News reported on Wednesday.

Statkraft claims that a recent government decree to address the price distortions actually makes hydropower less competitive in comparison with gas-to-power, the news agency reported.
