Tianjin LNG terminal shows strong import growth in 2017

China National Offshore Oil Corp.’s Tianjin terminal imported 1.77 mt of LNG in 2017, up by 88.3% year on year, local media reported, citing the Tianjin Inspection and Quarantine Bureau.

Last year’s imports were worth $702 million, an increase of 77.3%.

The bulk of the imports came from Qatar, Australia and the United States.

Tianjin received cargoes from Russia, Peru and Papua New Guinea for the first time in 2017.
