Philippines approves Malaya power plant for privatisation

The Philippine Department of Energy has said that the Malaya thermal power plant can be privatised and converted to run on LNG or coal this year.

The Philippine Department of Energy has said that the Malaya thermal power plant can be privatised and converted to run on LNG or coal this year, according to Power Philippines.

The Power Sector Assets and Liabilities Management Corp. will be allowed to proceed with privatising the Malaya plant, which is expected to be converted from diesel to LNG or coal by the winning bidder.
