NNPC restores gas supply following fire

Nigerian National Petroleum Corp. has restored supply to all customers on the Escravos-Lagos Pipeline following a fire last week.

Nigerian National Petroleum Corp. (NNPC) has restored supply to all customers on the Escravos-Lagos Pipeline following a fire last week, the company has announced.

The incident shut down seven of the country’s power stations, taking offline a combined generating capacity of 11 GW.

NNPC Managing Director Maikanti Baru said an investigation into the fire was still under way.
