North African pipeline exports to Europe rose by 3.8% in the first week of 2018 from a week earlier, to 922.0 million cubic metres (MMcm) as all pipelines linking the continents – except Medgaz – delivered more gas. Deliveries to Spain from Algeria via the Maghreb-Europe pipeline rose by 17.2%, to 238.3 MMcm, while Medgaz pipeline volumes fell by 6.7%, to 137.5 MMcm.
