Maikanti Baru, head of Nigerian National Petroleum Corp., has ordered an investigation into a fire on the Escravos-Lagos pipeline that caused power outages in the states of Lagos, Ogun, and Ondo, the company has announced.
The pipeline supplies gas to the country’s largest power plant and five others, according to the Ministry of Power, Works and Housing.
These are the Egbin (1.32 GW), Olorunsogo NIPP (676 MW), Olorunsogo (338 MW), Omotosho NIPP (450 MW), Omotosho (338 MW) and Paras (60 MW) power stations....
