Trinidad’s gas output to rise by 6% in 2018 – Ramnarine

Trinidad and Tobago’s gas production will increase by around 6% in 2018 compared with 2017, according to former Energy Minister Kevin Ramnarine.

Trinidad and Tobago’s gas production will increase by around 6% in 2018 compared with 2017, according to former Energy Minister Kevin Ramnarine.

"We should close 2017 at an average of 3.3 billion cubic feet per day [93.5 million cubic metres per day: MMcm/d]. In 2018 that figure should be about 99.1 MMcm/d," he said in comments sent to Interfax Natural Gas Daily.

Ramnarine said the increase was primarily down to the Juniper project, which began production in August 2017.
