Imports of Russian gas by the Netherlands almost doubled between 2014 and 2016, data from the International Energy Agency (IEA) shows.
The Netherlands imported 12.6 billion cubic metres of gas from Russia in 2016 compared with 6.4 bcm in 2014, according to preliminary data from the IEA. However, Norway is still the largest supplier of gas to the Netherlands.
