Carrier arrives at Cove Point LNG

The Maran Gas Delphi LNG carrier arrived at Dominion’s Cove Point LNG plant in the United States on Thursday.

The Maran Gas Delphi LNG carrier arrived at Dominion’s Cove Point LNG plant in the United States on Thursday, according to information from Platts.

The tanker was apparently fully laden and could use its LNG to cool down the plant’s storage tanks in advance of production.

Shell is scheduled to take the project’s commissioning cargoes, but it is unclear where the first shipment is likely to be delivered.

The company is also providing the gas for liquefaction during the commissioning phase.
