Novatek to invest nearly $48 bln in LNG by 2030

Russia’s Novatek estimates that it will invest RUB 2.5-2.8 trillion ($42.5-47.6 billion) in LNG projects until 2030.

Russia’s Novatek estimates that it will invest RUB 2.5-2.8 trillion ($42.5-47.6 billion) in LNG projects until 2030, Chief Financial Officer Mark Gyetvay said in a strategy presentation on Tuesday.

Gyetvay said Novatek plans to bring foreign investors in to the projects. French major Total, China National Petroleum Corp. and China’s Silk Road Fund are partners in Yamal LNG, Novatek’s first LNG project, which was launched at the start of December.
