The UK government is evaluating the role that gas can play in transport and will present a new strategy on how it intends to decarbonise the sector before March, Andy Eastlake, managing director of LowCVP – a public-private partnership created to accelerate the shift to lower-carbon vehicles – told Interfax Natural Gas Daily on Thursday.

“The new strategy will determine the next financial structure [for gas in transport and] the [fuel] duty,” Eastlake said on the sidelines of the ADBA National Conference 2017 in London.
