Austrian oil and gas company OMV has bought a 40% stake in electric car charging services company Smatrics.
The remaining shares in Smatrics are held by hydropower company Verbund with 40% and Siemens with 20%.
Smatrics announced in November that it had become part of Ionity, a joint venture that aims to build a charging station network across Europe.
