Japan’s Soma LNG terminal received its first cargo on Wednesday following commissioning at the beginning of the month, operator Japan Petroleum Exploration Co. said in a statement.
The first cargo was for 60,000 tons of LNG and was delivered by the Puteri Intan Satu, a tanker owned by Malaysia’s Petronas.
Full-scale operations are scheduled to begin in March 2018.
