Iraq approves gas imports from Iran

The government of Iraq has approved a deal to import more gas from Iran to the Iraqi governorate of Diyala.

The government of Iraq has approved a deal to import more gas from Iran to the Iraqi governorate of Diyala, according to a statement issued on Tuesday.

Iraq started importing gas from Iran in June from Gas Trunkline 6.

It opened a connection point in the south before opening another in the north to supply gas to Diyala and Baghdad.
