San Leon Energy relinquishes shale assets in Poland

UK-based oil and gas company San Leon has said it will leave its Gdansk West and Szczawno shale gas concessions in Poland

UK-based oil and gas company San Leon has said it will leave its Gdansk West and Szczawno shale gas concessions in Poland and has already informed the Polish Ministry of Environment.

The company, which has interests in Europe and Africa, will keep its conventional assets in Poland.

San Leon expects an impairment charge of about €7.3 million ($8.7 million) and annual cost savings of about €250,000, depending on work commitments.
