A global shortage of LNG tankers is expected to boost the cost of shipping the fuel as soon as 2019, delegates at the CWC LNG Summit in Lisbon heard last week.

“There are a number of vessels that still need to be secured for the volumes coming online [over the next few years],” David Colson, commercial vice president of Gaztransport and Technigaz (GTT), told delegates.
