Hebei releases emergency response plan for winter heating season

The northern Chinese province of Hebei has released an emergency response plan to ensure there will be sufficient gas supplies for the winter heating season.

The northern Chinese province of Hebei has released an emergency response plan to ensure there will be sufficient gas supplies for the winter heating season, which lasts from mid-November to mid-March and sees gas-fired boilers switched on for district heating.

Hebei is struggling to cope with a supply shortfall following the start of the heating season.

The top tier of the plan is reserved for serious gas shortages, when demand exceeds supply by 20%, and will see supplies suspended or limited for industrial, commercial and transport use.
