Gazprom is increasing the amount of gas it buys from Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan to 20 billion cubic metres from each country in 2017, Andrei Zotov, deputy department head at Gazprom Export, said on a conference call for investors.
The company expects to buy the same amount again in 2018, said Zotov. He added that a decision on "a certain increase" in purchases had been reached at recent meeting between the Russian, Uzbek and Kazakh presidents.
