Maersk Oil to invest DKK 21 bln in Tyra gas field

Denmark’s Maersk Oil will invest DKK 21 billion in the full redevelopment of the Tyra gas field.

Denmark’s Maersk Oil will invest DKK 21 billion ($3.4 billion) in the full redevelopment of the Tyra gas field – the largest in Denmark – the company said in a note on Friday.

The investment has been approved by the Danish Underground Consortium.

"Today’s announcement represents the largest oil and gas project investment ever made in the Danish North Sea, enabling Tyra to continue operations for at least 25 years," the statement reads.
