Compressor starts up on Kazakhstan-China pipeline

Kazmunaigas has commissioned the first of eight compressor stations on the Kazakh section of Line C of the Central Asia-China Pipeline, the company’s gas transport subsidiary, Kaztransgas, said on Thursday.

The projected capacity of the compressor is 516,749 cubic metres of gas per hour.

"The new gas facility will boost the capacity of the C Line and increase pipeline capacity to 25 billion cubic metres per year, while ensuring safe and reliable operation 24/7," the company said.
