First train at Yamal LNG given go-ahead to start operations

The Russian government has given its permission for the first train at Yamal LNG to begin operations.

The Russian government has given its permission for the first train at Yamal LNG to begin operations, the Yamal LNG company said in a press release on Wednesday.

"Receipt of the permit to put the first train of the plant in operation is the result of many months of hard work by thousands of builders, installers [and] engineers in Sabetta that continues to this day. We are not only adhering to the terms we approved, but expect to launch the second and third trains...
