India’s Gail has received notification from Russia’s Gazprom that it plans to start LNG deliveries under a 2.5 mtpa import agreement signed by the companies in 2012, according to Bloomberg.

Gazprom intends to deliver the first cargo in April despite Gail being in the process of trying to renegotiate the deal.

Gail is struggling to find buyers for LNG in the local market, where adverse tax arrangements are hindering the adoption of the fuel.
