Venezuelan state-run oil company PDVSA is in talks to discuss gas exports to Colombia, Trinidad & Tobago and Aruba, Reuters reported on Wednesday.
Cesar Triana, PDVSA’s vice president of gas, said the company could potentially export more than 17.3 million cubic metres per day.
Production levels at Venezuela’s giant La Perla gas field have so far been unaffected by the growing civil unrest in the country.
Triana said PDVSA was also in talks with Rosneft, Eni, Repsol and Statoil to obtain funding.
