Pakistan’s state-controlled Oil & Gas Development Co. (OGDCL) has invited proposals from service companies Weatherford, Halliburton and Schlumberger for a shale gas pilot project in the centre of the country.

“We are talking to all three companies, and who[ever] comes out with the best proposal [the contract] will be awarded to them,” OGDCL Chairman Zahid Muzaffar told Interfax Natural Gas Daily last week. “We have invited the proposals and we are in the process of moving forward with that,” he added.
