Power and gas tariffs in Argentina will be adjusted for inflation from H2 2019 but will rise sharply in the short term, Juan José Aranguren, the country’s energy minister, said during an interview with Radio La Red.

The minister said Argentina’s average gas price would rise from $3.77/MMBtu to $4.19/MMBtu in December, which would prompt an increase of around 45% in gas tariffs.
