Technology group Wärtsilä is working on a new LNG ferry for Finnish ship operator Viking Line, the company said in a note on Monday.

Technology group Wärtsilä is working on a new LNG ferry for Finnish ship operator Viking Line, the company said in a note on Monday.

The ferry is being built at the Xiamen Shipbuilding Industry yard in China. Wärtsilä will supply the engines and navigation system, as well as other products and systems.

“There is an option for a second vessel,” the Finnish company said.
