Sinopec plans to increase its gas output during China’s current winter heating season by 13.1% year on year, to 15.1 billion cubic metres.

The heating season runs from mid-November to mid-March, and its onset is marked by the switching-on of district heating systems in northern cities.

The Sichuan-Shanghai pipeline will supply 5.9 bcm, while 4 bcm will come from the Daniudi gas field in the Ordos Basin and an LNG terminal in Qingdao in Shandong province.
