Oil and gas company OMV Norge has received the go-ahead by Norway’s Petroleum Safety Authority to drill exploration well 6506/11-10 and test a prospect named Hades & Iris, the authority said in a note on Tuesday.
The well is located in Norwegian Sea production licence PL 644/644B, which is operated by OMV Norge with a 30% stake.
The other partners are Statoil (30%), Centrica Resources (20%) and Faroe Petroleum (20%).
Drilling is scheduled to begin on or after 1 December 2017 and will last around around 142 days...
