Mitsui to take stake in Pakistan FSRU

Japan’s Mitsui has agreed to take a 49% stake in a JV with BW Group to jointly own the FSRU being used for Pakistan’s second LNG import project.

Japan’s Mitsui has agreed to take a 49% stake in a joint venture with BW Group to jointly own the FSRU being used for Pakistan’s second LNG import project, according to the company. It is the first FSRU project that Mitsui has become a part of.

The companies will lease the FSRU to the Pakistan Gasport Consortium for 15 years.
