Qatar Petroleum will acquire a 30% participating interest in the exploration and production sharing agreement for Block 52 offshore Oman.
Eni, which was awarded a contract for the block on Tuesday, will hold a 55% share in the block, while Oman Oil Co. will hold 15%.
Block 52 has water depths ranging from 10 metres to more than 2,000 metres.
