Bahrain plans to invite service companies to submit final bids to develop its non-associated deep gas reserves by the end of the year, Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa al-Khalifa, the kingdom’s oil minister, told Interfax Natural Gas Daily. The development of the Bahrain Field’s pre-Khuff formation will affect the amount of LNG the country will import, he said.

“We are about to ask for the complete bids, which [the service companies] have been working on for the past year,” Khalifa said on the sidelines of the
