Houston-based LNG developer Tellurian has awarded engineering company Bechtel four EPC contracts to build the Driftwood LNG facility in Lake Charles, Louisiana.

The agreements are worth a combined $15.24 billion across four phases of construction, according to a filing with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission.

The first phase is expected to be completed in 2022, while full production from all four phases will begin in 2025. Driftwood’s expected capacity of 27.6 mtpa means the facility will cost about $550 per ton...
