EWC subsidiary gets approval to connect power project to Philippine grid

A Philippine subsidiary of Energy World Corp. has approval to connect a gas-fired power plant to the Pagbilao substation.

A Philippine subsidiary of Hong Kong-based Energy World Corp. (EWC) has secured the go-ahead from regulators to develop a transmission facility connecting a 650 MW gas-fired power plant to the Pagbilao substation of the Philippines’ National Grid Corp., according to the Business Mirror.

Work on the power project and associated LNG terminal being developed by EWC has been delayed numerous times, and it remains unclear when the project is likely to start up.
