Japanese LNG import volumes decreased by 12.7% year on year in September, to 5.8 mt, their lowest level since May last year. Japan’s LNG imports increased for six of the first nine months of the year, however, and total imports for 2017 remain up by around 2% compared with the same period in 2016.
