The prospects are good for monetising gas from Mexico’s latest find – its largest onshore discovery in 15 years – because of its proximity to infrastructure and burgeoning domestic demand, experts have told Interfax Natural Gas Daily

State giant Pemex said in a statement last week that the find in the Ixachi 1 well, which is 72 km south of the major Gulf Coast port of Veracruz, is “an important reservoir with excellent quality light-crude oil and gas”.
