First cargo ships from Wheatstone LNG

Chevron has shipped its first cargo from the Wheatstone LNG plant in Australia.

Chevron has shipped its first cargo from the Wheatstone LNG plant in Australia.

The shipment is being sent to Jera in Japan.

The Chevron-operated Wheatstone facility is a joint venture between the United States-based company’s Australian subsidiaries (which together have a 64.14% share), Kuwait Foreign Petroleum Exploration Co. (which has 13.4%), Woodside Petroleum (with 13%), Kyushu Electric Power Co. (with 1.46%) and PE Wheatstone, which is part-owned by Jera (with 8%).
