New York officials oppose Perry’s fuel supply payment plan

Officials from the state of New York wrote to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) this week objecting to Energy Secretary Rick Perry’s plan to require additional payments to coal and nuclear power plants that store at least a 90-day fuel supply – a plan that excludes gas and renewable power.
