India’s cabinet has approved an LNG cargo-swapping arrangement with Japan. The move is part of a broader bilateral pact to help reduce the logistical costs of importing the fuel for India, according to The Hindu.
India has arranged a number of swap agreements for the LNG it has agreed to take from plants in the United States and has been negotiating with long-term suppliers in recent months to try and agree lower prices.
